rebirth of the pub sign

The old sign was in a very bad way before it was taken down and rescued by some of our volunteers. If you are wondering where it has got to, it is safely housed in the village where it has been lovingly restored by Alan and John (pictured). I’m sure you will agree they have done a fantastic job, and the Committee would like to thank both of them, and also Loops who has had to put up with the sign dominating her lounge for the last few months!

The paints originally belonged to Loops late mother, who we are sure would be delighted at the use they have been put to, and it won’t be long before the restored sign is back in its rightful place.

You can see the state of the sign prior to the restoration work here: The old faded sign
