SCPL Annual Members Meeting
Dear Members/Shareholders,
We are pleased to announce the date and venue for the Stockland Community Pub Ltd (SCPL) Annual Members Meeting (AMM). The AMM is an important date on the SCPL calendar, and it is a regulatory requirement that Community Benefit Societies hold these meetings annually. We hope that as many of you as possible will be able to attend.
A POP-UP PUB will be available before and after the formal proceedings. Cash is preferred but we hope to have credit card facilities this year.
The AMM is your meeting and will include the formal presentation of the annual report, accounts and management committee elections. Members will be requested to vote to approve the accounts, determine whether a formal audit of accounts is required and to elect members to the management committee. Note that in accordance with the society rules it is “one member – one vote”.
Proxy Voting: We are pleased to be able to offer proxy voting this year – details will be included in our first mailing on or around 15th January 2024.
What’s Happening at The Kings Arms? We know that there is a lot of interest in what will happen to the Kings Arms following the departure of the last tenants. We hope to provide further updates ahead of the AMM. However, In addition to the formal agenda items, we will bring the membership the latest update on the latest news surrounding the Kings Arms Inn and opportunity for questions.
Join the Committee – The Management Committee is always looking for wider participation of the members who can bring new skills and perspectives. Venue: Stockland Victory Hall
Date: Thursday 29th February 2024 @ 7.00PM for 7.30 Start (Pop-up Pub from 7.00PM)
All members/shareholders will receive two mailings via e-mail or post prior to the meeting.
- Mailing 1: On or around 15th Jan 2024 comprising for formal announcement of the meeting, the details for registering for proxy voting and the Self-Nomination Form for the Management Committee.
- Mailing 2: On or around 12th February 2024 comprising the Annual Report for y/e 30th September 2024, the formal accounts, the list of nomination/candidates for the Management Committee and the formal resolutions to be voted upon at the meeting.
