Meet the new chef
The third member of our talented tenant team is Richard Benson, who has been kept ‘under wraps’ until now. Richard owned and ran for 9 years the Millside Restaurant in Lyme Regis along with his wife Jess. That business has now been sold and Richard is currently planning the Kings Arms kitchen and he also intends to introduce a new pastry room inside the building – this will be a cool prep room away from the heat of the kitchen.
Richard says: “After a very busy few months bringing our lovely restaurant in Lyme Regis to a close, we are now fully focused on the Kings Arms. I’m busy contacting suppliers, planning menus and very importantly getting ready to install the kitchen. We’ll be sourcing lots of local products, fish from Lyme Bay and organic fruit and vegetables. I’ve already prepared various kinds of charcuterie for the opening night!

We can all look forward to next year and a bright and exciting new chapter in the long history of the Kings Arms Inn here in Stockland!
