STOCKLAND, KINGS ARMS – SCPL FUNDRAISING UPDATE 15 JUNE 2018
SCPL reaches fundraising milestone
Stockland Community Pub Limited (SCPL) today announces that funds raised to purchase the Kings Arms Inn, Stockland have very recently surpassed £100,000. 62 investors have come forward to help in our mission to re-establish the pub at the heart of the village. Thank you to all who have committed so far. We note there are still some 70 potential investors who pledged back in 2013 to support a community pub purchase who we have not yet heard from.
Needless to say, we still have a very long way to go to reach our minimum target of £260,000,
However, the publicity surrounding the fundraising has elicited a number of very exciting potential tenants in contacting us – more on this once we have raised enough funds!
Today we appeal to all potential shareholders to come forward as soon as possible to ensure we secure the property. There are only two weeks for which the offer currently remains open. Whilst we can in theory extend the share offer closing date, we cannot guarantee that the current owners, will extend the agreed timetable for the sale of the property.
DO YOU WANT TO SEE THE KINGS ARMS REOPEN?
THEN PLEASE ACT NOW TO HELP US SAVE THIS HISTORIC ASSET AND PUT THE HEART BACK INTO STOCKLAND!
