The Management Committee of Stockland Community Pub Limited are delighted to announce that they have received in excess of £260,000 funding from over 220 investors through their community share offer.  This is a fantastic result considering that the offer has only been open for six weeks, and it means the society can now move forward with the purchase of the Kings Arms Inn from the current owners.

We will now be instructing a structural survey.  Solicitors and tax advisers have been engaged and we will now be proceeding to exchange as soon as is practicable.

In view of the success of the share offer, the Management Committee have decided to extend it for a further three months, until 30^th September 2018.  The Committee believes that there are still people out there who may wish to invest but who have not been able to do so yet, either because they are currently travelling or they need time to release money tied up elsewhere.  This extension will allow time for these potential investors to come forward.  This extension is a one-off event and cannot be repeated.

Finally, we would like to say an enormous thank you to all our investors for their support and confidence in the project without whom we would not have reached this exciting point.  Also thanks to those people who have kindly chosen to donate to the project!

SCPL family fun day 7th july

This Saturday 7^th July, in association with Wendy van der Plank, we are hosting a family fun day, barbeque and pop-up-pup at Stockland Victory Hall which will be followed by a wonderful theatre production, “Rex the King”.  Please join us from 4 PM for a celebratory drink, bite to eat and entertainment.
