Update on Progress

East Devon District Council (EDDC) has recently granted SCPL a Premises Licence for the Kings Arms Inn, Stockland. Our Chairman, Peter Maitland, has recently sat and passed the appropriate Level 2 qualification test, and this week he will be applying to EDDC for a Personal Licence for the supply of alcohol. Once the Personal Licence has been granted, Peter will become our Designated Premises Supervisor for the Kings Arms.    

The VAT registration forms for SCPL have been sent to HMRC, various insurance policies have been negotiated and are ready to be put in place, and the conveyancing documentation is in the process of being finalised with the solicitors.

Process for Elections to the Management Committee

We will be writing to all our shareholders this week with details of the election process, and copies of a self-nomination form for those members who wish to be considered for election to the Committee.
